Algerie Telecome, Huawei ink a new partnership contract in Oran

The telecommunications operator, Algerie Telecom (AT), has inked, on Tuesday in Oran, a partnership contract, with the Chinese operator “Huawei”, for the development of the fiber optic network, whose objective is to improve very high-speed internet service, ALG 24 website reported.


“The FTTx project will promote exchanges and more balanced communication between network users: videoconferencing, peer to peer, IP telephony, online backup.The partnership agreement, whcih was inked by AT’s CEO Adel Khemane and Huawei’s representative in Algeria, Gao Jre, focuses on the development of the FTTX project (fiber-optic network for high-speed internet) which aims to guarantee the modernization of the telecom service to the customers.

This fiber-optic network guarantees unmatched performance from 100 megabits to several gigabits per second, “said AT.
